Terms of use
MedEd Reach is operated by Medical Simulation Skills Institute (MSSI), Adjin Nye Street, Accra, Ghana, and built and published by Kaydat Company Limited. These terms apply to the website, the Android and iOS apps and the SMS, USSD and voice services. The privacy notice explains how your data is used.
1. Who may use MedEd Reach
MedEd Reach is for health workers and health students. You register with your own mobile number and keep your password and PIN to yourself. Your professional status is recorded as self-declared until it is verified or attested by your institution; you must give accurate details, because they are printed on your certificates and reported for CPD credit.
2. Courses, tests and certificates
Courses are authored and clinically approved by MSSI. A course is completed by taking its pre-test, working through the lessons and passing the post-test. Tests must be taken by you personally; the platform records how your identity was confirmed and may flag unusual patterns for review. Certificates and CPD credits are issued on that basis and may be withdrawn if a completion is found not to be genuine.
3. Clinical content
The content supports, and does not replace, clinical judgement, supervision and the guidelines of your country and facility. Always follow local protocols and seek senior help when in doubt.
4. Fees and sponsorship
Most courses are free or sponsored; a course page always says so before you enroll. Where a fee applies, it is shown in your country's currency before you pay.
5. Messages and data costs
With your consent we send lessons, reminders and results by SMS, USSD, voice call and app notification. Your network operator may charge for data, USSD sessions or calls. You can change or withdraw consent at any time in your profile or by replying STOP.
6. Acceptable use
Do not share your account, attempt to take tests for someone else, copy or redistribute course material outside the platform, or interfere with the service. MSSI may suspend an account that breaks these rules; credits and certificates already issued remain on record unless withdrawn under section 2.
7. Intellectual property
Course content, videos, slides, test items and the MedEd Reach software are the property of MSSI and its licensors. You may use them for your own learning only. Third-party software is used under its own licences (see third-party software).
8. Your account and data
You can view and export your data and ask to close your account from your profile; credit and certificate records are kept as required by professional regulators. The privacy notice sets out retention periods and your rights under the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana and the law of your country.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee it at all times. Content, features and these terms may change; material changes are announced in the app and on the website, and continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, MSSI and Kaydat Company Limited are not liable for loss arising from use of the content or from interruption of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
